Christmas In July: Christmas Wishes Card

Who doesn't need a little Christmas in the middle of summer. I created this card for a Christmas In July swap and I am pretty happy with they way it turned out.

I used Just Because cards for the cardbase and welded (with my Gypsy) the star border from Winter Frolic. Everything else is just cut and layered on the card.
Just Because Cardbase 6.38 x 3.92
Star Border 6.17 x 2.04
Christmas Wishes saying 4.57 x 2.65

Gypsy Update Problem

I have been trying to update my Gypsy for two days now and I am not having any luck. Is anyone else having this problem? If so any ideas on how to get my Gypsy updated?

Trip 2 the Beach

Alright here is my next layout ready for photos of a recent or past beach trip. For this layout I used Bo Bunny's beach collection (sorry I do not know the exact name), Bazzill textured cardstock and of course my new Cricut cartridge, Summer Vacation.

The Summer Vacation cartridge does not come with layering features so I ended up using my Gypsy's hide couture feature to help with they layering effects. A few of the pieces I just cut them out twice and trimmed off what I did not need then paper pieced them together. I did not like the wheels on the car and trailer so I just used a circle punch. The title to may layout is my favorite piece. This one took 4 cuts and a little creative tearing to come up with this look.

Down on the Farm

So I recently did some shopping on Ebay and found some cute scrapbook paper. I though this paper was so cute that I just had to play with it first! I used a few cartridges for this layout, Create-a-Critter (animals), Don Juan (title) and Old West (barn). I also used my Gypsy to hide the faces on the animals so I could use my Critter Faces Medium stamp set from Peachy Keen, and I also used my Gypsy to weld my title together.

Wild Thing Layout

Here is another layout using Ki Memories Wild Life collection. Once again i used Create-a-Critter. I just can't seem to get enough of this cartridge. All those little critters are just to darn cute!!

I used my Gypsy to create this little girl. On the cartridge she is facing the to the left and I wanted her to face to the right. So in my Gypsy I fliped her and sized her at 5". I also used the Gypsy to weld the title together.

Sweet Treats Layout

I am super happy with they way this layout looks. It is so bright and cheery that it makes me want to head to an ice cream shop and have some yummy ice cream!!

I designed my title page in my Gypsy one night in bed and then completed it a few days later. Gotta love the portability of the Gypsy!! You can see in the photo above how it looked in my Gypsy. I started off with creating the scalloped circle which is actually a flower from the Sweet Treats cartridge. I ended up sizing it at 10..76 x 10.18". I did not want the inside cuts of the flower so used the new Hide Contour feature to take those out.

Next I created the photo mats (just for looks, I did not cut those out with my Cricut), title and ice cream cone. The ice cream cone which is also from Sweet Treats is cut out at a height of 5". My Title is from Don Juan and is welded and cut out at a height of 1.82"

My second page was not created on my Gypsy. I just kind of through it together on what would look best with the first page. I cut my cupcake out at 4" just using my Cricut Expressions.

Baby Girl Onesie Card

My Mom and my youngest daughter are heading off to a Baby Shower today and I promised I would make a card for the shower. I have been wanting to do a onesie card for quite sometime but never had a reason to until now.

I first created this card in my Gypsy using New Arrival for the onesie and Create-a-Critter for the cute little dear. I welded two shadows of the onesie (5.5") together and cut a third onesie out in pattern paper to layer on top. The dear is cut out at 2.58" using three different shades of brown cardstock and then layered together. I think it turned out so cute! I just love that little dear!!

"Nuts About U" Card

Love, love, love the Gypsy update!! I have been creating quite a few cards in my Gypsy since Friday's update but this is the first one I created with it.

So I thought I would show you a few pictures of how I created the card in my Gypsy and then what the mat looked like once it was cut out. On day I will get on board with the YouTube crowd and create some fun videos. But for now here are pictures.

Here is my Gypsy showing the cute little squirrel. I cut him out at 3.11" to fit the acorn.

Here is my mat. Cut out perfectly!!

Here is my Gypsy showing the card portion. You can see that I welded the to acorns together to create the card base. The acorn is cut out at 5.59 on the real dial size.

Here is my mat. Once again, perfect!!

~~~~~ More photos of the cute card. ~~~~~~
Hope you like it. If you have any questions please feel free to post a comment and I will get back to you.
A Few THANK YOU Cards
These cards are for some wonderful ladies that made our Girl Scout Troop sleep over a huge success! To have enough room for 17 girls and 3 leaders sign these cards I needed to make them larger than normal. I thought that this might be a bit of a challenge but I think they turned out great! I simply used an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock and folded it in half to create a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card.
The Butterfly card was for the wonder lady that let our girls use her face paint to pain butterflies on each others faces. She was a very brave woman to let them do this. I do fear that some of the face paint might have gotten ruined.
The Latte card was for the gracious lady that let us use her beautiful home for the sleepover. This would have never of happened at any of the leaders house's since they would not be able to fit 13 girls and 3 leaders. She loves her lattes in the morning so I thought this card was perfect for her.
The wind was blowing quit a bit the day I took these photos so that is why there are the ones taken inside and then the ones taken outside with me holding the card and taking a picture with the other hand.
