Valentine's Stuff

So I just got the new Love Struck Cricut cartridge and I just had to play with it. Nothing to fancy at the moment just playing around with the cartridge. I wanted to see how the mailbox and box came together so I made those first. For each of those I used my 12x12 mat along with the same size sheet of paper and cut them using the Fit to Page feature. Using that setting your Cricut will cut the mailbox at 11 1/2" and the box at 9". Those seem to be perfect sizes to use for you kids Valentine's party and gifts.

For the card I saw someone else use the couple heart and I really wanted to play with that so this is a quick and cute card I came up with. I just love all the details in the hart. Because of all that detail I would not make the hart to small. I cut one out at 2 1/4" and one at 3". For the card I choose the 3" heart. The word "love" is also from the cartridge and I cut that at 1 3/4". These sizes seemed to work out well with your standard size card.

Presents, Presents Everywhere

I liked they way this layout turned out. Again I take so many photos at birthday parties that I wanted to get as many photos on a page as I could. I used Close To My Heart's retired Paper Packet - Whoops-a-Daisy along with the Storybook Cricut cartridge. I just love this font and thought it fit the layout perfectly.

Birthday Guests Layout

This fun and bright two-page layout uses Close To My Heart retired paper Packet Whoops-A-Daisy. Can you tell I really like this paper packet? I was very sad to see it go. As with all of our birthday's in our house I tend to take a lot of photos but I don't want to make a bunch of layouts. So I used Close To My Heart's Flip Flaps. I love these little things. You can add as many photos you want to your layouts without having to cut them all up. You can see the Flip Flaps in use with the left page. I would have only be able to add one photo but with the Flip Flaps I was able to make a mini book that can hold 4 additional photos!! Be on the look out for more Flip Flaps in the near future.

First Page of 2010!!

I have a few New Year's Resolutions. Your typical loose a few pounds instead of putting them on but also scrapbook more for myself. Last year I did not take much time for scrapbooking my family memories. With that I fell further and further behind in my books. I decided that this year I was going to change all that and actually do things for ME!
Here is my first finished page for 2010. No, it's not a layout but it's a start. For this page I used a now retired, Close To My Heart paper pack called Whoops -A-Daisy. I am very sad to see this paper go because it has some fun and bright colors. I have also used Close To My Heart Just Blooms - Big Pinks. I love these paper flowers!! The are so much fun to distress and customize for whatever your scrapbook needs might be.

Well I am off to go create some more fabulous layouts!!

Happy New Year!
