Girl Scout Cookies

OK, so life on my blog is not to exciting right now. I have been busy with Hostess Club's, Girl Scout cookie booth sales and getting ready to head to Disneyland!! For now I thought I would share a few photos of my daughter dressed up as a Girl Scout cookie. Isn't she cute?

Disney pages update: Well, I am not going to get my 2005 album finished before we head out of town. I'm a little disappointed but happy with what i did finish.

My Wish...Layout

This layout is for my Scrapbook Hostess Club this month. We will be using the That's Amore Paper along with the Love Always Journaling Spots. I was planning on using this for a LOVE layout but these 1 year old pictures of my daughter seem to work great. I still have to add some journaling but for the most part it's done.

I'm Back....recovered from the flu

So you might have noticed that I have been MIA for quite sometime. Last Friday night I started feeling that I was coming down with a cold. Fine, I can deal with that. By Saturday night I was feeling horrible and almost ready to go to the hospital because I was having a hard time breathing. Sometime in the middle of the night I could breath and fell asleep. Sunday morning I headed over to my neighbor's house (she is a physicians assistant) and she let be borrow an enebulizer (spelled wrong) to help me breath again and gave me a flu test. Turns out I had Influenza type A, basically it's a respiratory flu. If I had a flu shot this year I would have been fine. Figures. UGH!!! So I spent Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in bed. No fun:( By Wednesday I was finally up and about. Head still spinning but up. Today I am almost 100% better. I think I can finally scrapbook and get my house clean. We think we over the past weeks all had some type of the flu but I was lucky enough to get the worst of it. We are all healthy again, for the most part, and are ready to get out of town next week and head to Disneyland!!

Lesson Learned: Get a FLU SHOT every year!!!

My NEW Ribbon Organizer

I was cleaning my scrapbook room over the weekend and decided to change they way I organize my ribbon (yet again). I knew I wanted the Clip It Up Ribbon Organizer from Archiver's. So my dear hubby when to the store and picked it up for me using a coupon of course. I hate to pay full price for anything if I don't have to. Anyways he got it up for me the other day and I think I am pretty happy with it. I am still filling up with my ribbon but I wanted to share it with all of you.

Be Mine Forever Card

I loved how this card turned out! It is a smaller card only 2 1/2" x 3". To create the card I used the Sunset pattern from Close To My Heart's Originals Card Program. Along with the card program I used That's Amore Paper Packet, Vintage Valentine stamp set, Chocolate and Tulip ink pads, Chocolate Grosgrain ribbon, as well as my Cricut machine to create the heart. For the aged look on the top of the card I simply took my stamp pad and rubbed directly on the paper. You can do this as little or as much as you like to create the look you are trying to achieve.I also sponged the ink on all the edges of the cardstock for more distressing.

IPod Valentine's

Have your kids give their friends a Rocking Valentine this year with the IPod Valentine's. Turn an ordinary box of conversation hearts in disguise and hit all the right notes for a tune-loving teacher or pal. I found this great idea on the Family Fun website. You can add some cute ear buds using with string and two peanut butter cups but I decided to fore go that for ease of caring them to school and passing them out. Go check it out an make your own Rocking Valentine's!!

Countdown to Disney Clipboard

My youngest is VERY excited about going to Disneyland at the end of this month. She asks me every day when we are leaving. So to help her count down the days until we leave I made a cute little countdown clipboard using Close To My Heart's retired Giggles & Grins Paper Packet and My Stickease. To protect everything I used Mod Podge. For the count down numbers I stamped numbers on a sticky note pad so it would make it easy for her to just tear off the days. When we are done I am going to take it to Disneyland and use it for autograph clip board. I hope you like it and it inspires someone out there to make their own Countdown Clipboard.
