For the first challenge, you have to make something with a cupcake. I just love cupcakes don't you? My daughter has two birthday parties this month so I decided to make a card for this challenge. I think it turned out pretty stinkin' cute!!

Weekly Challenge #1: OOH, LA LA! FRENCH MANOR!

The new Cricut Circle Blog is going to have Weekly Friday Challenges. This week was to create something using the French Manor cartridge. Here was the catch, you must included JEWELS or PEARLS and your project must have at lease two cuts. Since I love the Tri-Fold Shutter card I decided to make another one using the Eifel tower from the French Manor cartridge as my focus. I am super happy with this card and hope everyone likes it too.

Got Scraps? Halloween Challenge

Got Scraps? is having their first Monday of the Month challenge. I decided to create a Tri-fold Shutter card. I have seen these cards all over the Internet and have been wanting to try to make one for some time. They look difficult to create but it was actually very simple.

For my card I used Close To My Heart's NEW paper packet called Hooligans. It is just absolutely adorable!! I also used the Hooligans felt stickers from Close To My Heart and Scrappy Moms: A Haunting We Will Go stamp set.
Here is the basic card recipe.

Card Base
5.5x12 scored at 2", 4", 8", 10" turned and cut at 1.25" and 4.25"

Cardstock
2 - 1.75" x 5.25"
1- 2.75" x 3.75"
2 - 2.75" x 1.75"4 -
1" x 1.75"2 -
1" x 3.75"

Patterned paper
2 - 1.5" x 5"
1 - 2.5" x 3.5"
2 - 2.5" x 1.5"
4 - .75" x 1.5"
2 - .75" x 3.5"

Front panel
3" x 4.25
2.75" x 4"

*I did add extra layering on the front panel and inside panel.

My Creative Time: Throwback Thursday Challenge #4

For this his week's challenge Emma wanted us was to create a scrapbook layout of any size using the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge. I am very happy with the cartridge choice since I just purchased it not to long ago.

I decided to use the watermelon from the cartridge and create a bright and fun layout with lots of pink and green! I am super happy with they way this layout turned out. I may still add a few sparkly touches but other than that it is ready for photos!!

My Creative Time: Throwback Thusday Challenge #2

For this weeks Throwback Thursday Challenge we were to create a project using the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge and the colors Brown, Blue and Red. I was having a hard time with this one because of the colors and trying to decided which image would work well with them. My final project came out pretty good. I decided to use the sandcastle, sea shells and the title Summer. I had to through in another neural color to help balance things out so I used Colonial White as my background and then just a bit of pattern paper from Close To My Heart's Animal Cookies paper packet.

For bottom boarder I simply tore and layered the Dutch Blue, Bamboo, and Chocolate cardstock. To make the sand look more like sand I sponged on some Desert Sand Ink.

I had to add just a bit of bling to my page so I stickled the sun on the title "Summer".

My Creative Time : Throwback Thursday Challenge #1

For Emma's first Throwback Thursday challenge we were to use Animal Kingdom. I don't think I have used this poor cartridge but once since I bought it a few years back. It was fun to pull it out and see what was all on this cartridge. I think I may start pulling it out more offten. There are some cute sayings on this cartridge that I totally forgot about.
Ok, onto what I created. I am super behind on my scrapbooking and have not started any pet pages. This cartrige has a cute dog that looks like my black lab, Dutchess. She will be 5 years old in just a few days and I still have not scrapbooked her puppy pictures. As a matter of fact I don't think I have even printed those photos. So sad :(

I cut out the dog at 5 1/2" and the title "Good Dog" at 2 1/4". To make the dog look more like my Dutchess, I used my white gel pen and added some white to the front of her on on her paws. She looks just like my puppy now! On the title I decided to add some stitching make it "pop" off my page. Now I just need to go print some photos and this page is done!
